Does Samsung provide firmware verification for the all the firmware that should be the latest on a specific phone.

Example as of Feb 26,2021

I'll enlighten you 🤗 😷

I think the disconnect here is...

@RedDogRabbit is...

-Not saying
get 3rd party software🙃👈

-Is saying
those other 3rd parties mentioned, play with these devices and give more info than the manufacturers 🤙

Now let's listen to this...

LoL 😂

Yes some are exceedingly paranoid & suspicious of highly trusted tools & resources. 🙄

Anyway, everything else aside. You asked if you can get verification of what firmware should be on your phone at the moment. I've given you the links to find out. The links get the information & the firmware directly from Samsung & Since Samsung doesn't provide links to their servers, this is the only way to get it.

the site you provided requires downloading as well as 3 character extension for the region? Why would anyone download from an unknown site?

I didn't tell you to download anything - But you can see what the latest firmware is for your phone & that's what you were asking!

If you actually want to download firmware - Then I'd use Frija - But it's an app you need to install on your computer to use it.

If you read the details it is for all the firmware on the phone. Hence the list of items like Kernel version which has a creation date.

This is why u expect Samsung and only Samsung to provide this information and it appears they do not.

Look at the build date & Firmware PDA version & if it's the same as what you see in your phone >About Phone > Software information, then you'll see the build date & kernel information there.

That's as good as it's going to get, unless Samsung provides the information.

Then there is no proper verification of firmware on a Samsung phone.

Whatever, you downloaded the update from your carrier. I don't see what the problem is??

You can always check the Notify Update Doc from Samsung.

Just substitute your model number where mine is.
