This was taken in a small Japanese restaurant in downtown Toronto. This bulb was the first thing that the guests would see when stepping into the restaurant followed by lines of people seated waiting to be called. I felt thankful that there was a lineup - which allowed me time to observe my surroundings - and find this oddly beautiful thing shooting out brightness.
I felt others' confused attention landing over my shoulder as I was taking photos of this bulb - but I didn't mind - because we all are so accustomed to taking these tools for granted.
