I've noticed browsers using way more battery than before. I've tried switching different browsers but it makes no difference.  Is anyone else experiencing this?

That's not even the real Samsung Internet icon. Are you sure that's the real browser and not some third party application?

Got it. What version of the browser is it?

Well... That's interesting. As always, I recommend first off, that you restart your phone. The issue could be with the battery, as those ratings aren't always accurate. Try clearing the app cache by going into settings > apps > Samsung internet > storage > clear cache. You can also try using power saving mode, but that does seem like a fair amount of usage for 2 hours. Make sure your screen brightness also isn't up too high, that's the biggest problem usually with battery drainage.

I tried clearing the app cache yesterday and today I used the option to put the app to sleep automatically when not in use, so I narrowed it down to the fact it's just using lots of juice when using it.

@theonecid, all browsers I've tried are now battery hogs. I was kinda selfishly hoping it was a wide spread problem so Samsung would put out a fix lol

Possibly it's the Samsung Internet add-ons that are draining the battery... 🐧
