You have 2 things to remember :

1- As @Halston say, Leaving the phone connected to the charger and using it may lower battery life if you do it repeatedly.

2- Also , If you do find yourself regularly operating at or below 20% charge, it's entirely possible you will notice a degraded battery after a year of use.

It is ok. Devices will stop charging when it reach 100%. So when playing movie when phone fully charged, the phone will use the AC current instead of your charged battery.

I know but they say that leaving the phone plugged it after a full charge may reduce it's lifespan?

The technology has changed many years ago. New devices can charge any time now. But don’t drain to zero then charge again. This will hurt the battery.

For instance, phone can plugin to computer to have DeX, phone will charge when plugin. When you are done, unplug the phone. Some users plug the phone and leave it overnight and no one complaint reduce battery lifespan.

Unless you want to keep your phone over 6 years or more. General speaking 3-4 years should no problem.

Hey iAnderson199214,
From the time battery is fully charged (100%) the phone is ready to be used. Use only Samsung-approved chargers, batteries, and cables. Unapproved chargers or cables can cause damage to the battery and/ or to the device.
Most Smartphones have a lithium-ion battery that lives longer when charged regularly. Unlike the nickel batteries used in older phones, lithium-ion batteries do best when kept above a 50 percent charge. The phone will stop charging once it is fully charged as mentioned by Tallman.
Leaving the phone connected to the charger (when the phone is completely charged) while you are using it may lower battery life if you do it repeatedly.
Thanks, Tallman for your information.
