Hey guys. so my laptop is very old now. and doesn't have Microsoft office. I'm a student so I need it daily. can't afford new laptop, but since note 8 has Microsoft office. would the DeX station be a good investment for that? I mostly need it for school purposes. thanks a bunch 😀

Hey NasJiJi, if you are looking for something just to work on Microsoft Office Suite, the DeX station would be perfect, It is all you would need to take to school, and a keyboard and mouse.
Pop your phone is, which charges it while also keeping the phone cool. You can use all of your apps on a desktop experience so it will be just like a laptop.
Good for Micosoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc

Dont think you need to spend a ton of money on a laptop!

dex is a good investment for college and office work. I have tried and so far loving it.
you can always buy from bestbuy to see if it fit your needs and if not you can return it in 15 days for refund. you are the who can decide if its gonna fit your need.

The Dex is a very good investment but if you don't already have a good monitor, keyboard and mouse then I would say to look into Chromebooks it's Google's line of laptops that run nothing but a browser which gives you access to Google's Suite of browser software that is similar to Microsoft Office. These laptops are priced at the same price as a Dex. If you do have the correct peripherals though then definitely check out the Dex as @Jmak said you can always return it within 15 days if you're not satisfied.

I just received mine from Samsung the other day but haven't got a chance to set it up and play with it yet but I'll be sure to share my experience with it.

@NasJiJi, are you planning on using it at school or just at home? if you thinking of taking it to school, you will need an available monitor with HDMI port to connect Dex. I have a Samsung Dex that I use at home and sometimes use it when I go to the office. So if you're planning on using it to take notes, I think that @Jonathan34 made a good suggestion about looking into a Chromebook.

I mostly need it for Microsoft office while I'm at home. i know it's small, and can allow my note Microsoft office to be used on my laptop. so that's main reason. I've looked into chromebooks also. but reviews told me to steer away. I'm still doing comparison. but so far the DeX looks like it's very practical
