Hi, I seem to have a display color issue after the recent android 10 and one UI 2.0 update. Since I was watching a movie on the device just before the update that I was able to immediately notice a display color issue. Theres a oily coat on blacks especially. All the other colors seems to be fine especially greens are brilliant.

I'm trying to find a software based solution either by setting or patches. But service centre just say display replacement as solution.
If I did not notice the difference immediately I myself would have gone for screen replacement thinking it as pixel burn issue or something but since it's not such an issue I am a bit worried as to whether I would receive a solution for this.

You can adjust the colour here - Settings - Display - Visibility Enhancements or Settings - Search for Video Enhancer.

Yes, you can adjust the display colour as mentioned by @Shaggyskunk1 using the below steps

settings >> accessibility >> visibility enhancements >> colour adjustment

settings >> advance features >> video enhancer

@santhanam,

I just watched the video that you have mentioned. The background image behind the lady is a slight oily textured when she was focused as you have mentioned, I have noticed the same on my device.

Are you facing this issue with only this video or any other videos?

just look at these screen shots of similar movie scene in the night time. the issue is with only blacks. all the other colors seem to be brilliant than before. since blacks have issue the darker shades have faded oily effect.
