Yeah, bless their hearts.. The obvious is provided to Samsung Canada's "support" Chat via flip charts I'm sure, which they then dutifully cut & paste.

Oddly enough though, if you have Samsung's Smart Switch installed on your computer, you probably don't actually need to have your phone connected to the Internet.

You *SHOULD* be able to download the Update to your computer using Smart Switch & then transfer it to your phone by connecting your phone to Smart Switch on your computer with the USB cable, but I guess that little nugget isn't included on their flip charts 🙄

She is lucky. They didn't ask her to factory reset her phone. My last few times with Samsung support, they told me to factory reset my phone. 😂 😂 😂

Yeah well, it would be great if Samsung hired people based on their knowledge of Android, and in particular Samsung devices.

Seems that they are more like a windup toy, that keeps bumping into a wall, & doesn't have the ability to think for itself.

Don't know how many times Members have had to correct them.. 🙄

This is akin to telling Roger's and Bell home phone customers to unplug their modem for 30 seconds knowing it will drop the call. 😅

Exactly. I experienced this with Samsung support, which regarding my Samsung Email app not showing inline image. I told them after upgrade, the problem started and I have tried clear data and cache, and tried re-installed app. Support told me to Reset App Preference. I said nothing changed at all. Finally, I followed his instruction. My chat cutted out and I have to set all my app preference again. But no problem solved. Then, sent email to them and got an email back to factory reset my phone. Well...been 2 years now and problem still exist. I am not gonna ask again. I think their support needs training. Either customer support or technical support, still have big room to improve.

Which is too bad, because sometimes clearing cache, or a Factory Reset IS actually the solution.

The problem is, when it's ALWAYS the suggested step.
