The video quality on the ultra wide lens is looking terrible!  It really struggles with dark colours and comes out super grainy.  I'm massively disappointed with the results I'm getting.

Hi foresty, The Ultra wide lens lets you record wide-angle videos which look just like the actual view. As currently smart phones had being used spherical lens for device camera, distortion may differ by lens type and it severely occurs when angle of view is wider and distance up to shooting object is shorter. While taking the videos or even photos by a wide-angle lens, minor distortion may occur in wide-angle videos and does not indicate device performance problems.

I have tested the Galaxy S20 Ultra and the ultra wide video looked great. The Note 20 Ultra though, I'm getting a lot of graininess. This normally only happens in low light situations, but it's happening in outside in full day light. There has to be a software issue with this phone, or else the camera hardware is a big downgrade.

This seems to be an actual issue. The user doesn't seem to describe the chromatic aberration that is to be expected on the ultra wide lens.

I'll see if i can upload an example somewhere. The ultra wide footage is really a downgrade from what I was getting on my year old Huawei P30 Pro ☹

He said nothing about distortion. Did you even read what he wrote, or did you just post up a canned reply?

I have an S9+ and I've been thinking about an upgrade soon. but hearing about these issues with the S20 and note 20 issues. mostly about camera problems really is concerning. it's really starting to make me think about considering other options because for the money we spend these devices should work flawless and have good support. but i will try to hold out longer and try to stay positive. because really as customers we just want to have confidence that the product we buy is going to work everytime we need it, and perform well and have good support.

S9+ is a solid phone. Will keep mine as long as possible. Camera photos and video are excellent 👌
