Seems to be part of the lock screen and does nothing. I tried tapping it and nothing happens. Maybe if you don't initiate screen lock it might not appear, but anyone can access your phone. I didn't try it, I prefer a locked screen.
I didn't find anything in any of the setting. It always seems that they just have to add something that really doesn't need to be there. Thankyou for your info.
