Note 9 is crap

I got a new note 9 in December. I had a Note 4 and it needed a new battery and pen. The Note 9 was cheaper. Bad decision.

First was Bixby. After hours of support and research I finally found an app to reroute the button.

Second was Google Play ads coming at me at odd times. I disabled every Google product.

Third was this update. Final straw. The split screen and recent apps functions are completely screwed. 

I will be going to Telus to see about a refund. And I doubt I'll purchase further Samsung products.

My Note4 is a dog compared to my S9+! Putting the two devices side by side - The Note4 is fit to be used as a paper weight & nothing else - Sounds brutal - But it's the truth!

Here's a challenge. Identify something you do with your new phone that could not also be done with the old phone if you installed some storage and some new apps.

@hollywoodin2001, I've had the Note 9 since it came out and I've had no issues with it on Oreo or now on Pie. I turned off the Bixby Home panel (because I can just tell Bixby to open it). The Google Play ads that are coming at you at odd times have nothing to do with the Note 9, that's something that you probably enabled by agreeing to something in your phone. Split screen and recent apps are not screwed up, they are just different, if you often use the same 2 apps together, just use the App Pair feature and it will launch both apps in split screen.

You are comparing the Note 4 (which is 4 years old) to the latest Note 9, software and features have changed in the last 4 years, instead of complaining about the Note 9, you would be better serve spending that time learning how to use your new Note 9.

To say that the Note 9 is crap, is very harsh, but I get it, we will often say things are crap that we don't fully know how to use them, because it was changed on how you use to do it.

I spent 2 hours with customer service on Saturday morning. They confirmed by the end that I was utilizing the split screen and recent apps features as best I could. To be clear, the split screen on the pre-pie Note 9 before the downgrade WAS a new feature from Note 4. And the recent apps feature from Note 4 was still there. So while split screen can still be done it is a BIG downgrade from what I bought.

hey man, everyone has their own opinion, but please don't come here and start bashing Samsung Products, which we ALL have a huge passion for.
If one device doesn't work for you, no problem just sell it and try a new device.

I have an A8 and my last update screwed up all my phone. Now I hate it!
Is there any way to reverse this update???
