I was just on Reddit and came across a post about the note9 having really bad screen burn-in due, it seems, to a back plate inside the device heating up. It appears to be mainly the 512g version experiencing it. I have the 128g version and was wondering if anyone in Canada has experienced this. From the page or two of comments I read it seemed to European models so I'm assuming the Exynos units. In Canada we have the Snapdragon units, so I'm curious if it's something I should be really alarmed by.

Burn-ins are covered by Warranty. So no worries to be had.

Those are pretty hardcore looking. Out of millions of units produced a handful is not super newsworthy or anything to panicked about.

Yeah Samsung will cover you! To my pleasant surprise I didnt know they covered burn-ins. Took it to the Eaton Centre this Saturday and in three hours not only did they get me a new OLED screen they also replaced my cracked glass panel and gave me a new metal frame which was surprising. My phone feels all new!

OLED burn in is natural to the display. They should cover you no matter what.

Hey @300kc,

Yes, unfortunately OLED screens are prone to burn-in issues in general—Samsung warranty should cover any of these issues.

I have screen burn in. it happened within 3 months of me having it. It was to be a business phone, which was rarely used, so disappointed. I just started using it full time and the burn in is driving me crazy, I'm still under a year on purchase. Every thing I read elsewhere said Samsung wouldn't replace it. I'm going to call now. Thanks for the info.
