So is it just me or did one ui 3.0 make the battery suck. I'm using a north American note 20 ultra and I lost about 7 hrs of total battery life after the update. I did all the resets, cache wipes etc etc. Before the update I was getting approximately 8 hrs of screen on time at around 20 to 30 percent left of battery, now I'm at 5.5 hrs to 6 hrs at that percentage. At full charge my phone says I have 21 hrs of total battery time, before I would have approximately 1 day and 3 hrs left of battery.

On one ui 2.5 I was always on the optimized power savingssetting, great battery savings with 120 hrz on. Life was good. Why did Samsung get rid of these battery savings features. The power saving options in one ui 3 doesn't allow you to use 120 hrz. Why would they do this? They don't seem to have a brain among them sometimes. Rant over.

Hi Luar4e,

In general, battery performance optimization is applied by learning the battery usage pattern after initial use after purchasing the product or OS upgrade. During the period of learning the initial battery usage pattern, you may feel the battery drain quickly. If the battery is consumed continuously for a long period of time, it may be another factor, so please check the following additionally.
When running multiple apps at the same time, running games or apps that require high resolution and high performance, and turning on auto-sync and Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, etc., the battery will drain quickly. It’s recommended to optimize battery usage time by setting an Adaptive battery or adding unused apps to sleep depending on your usage pattern. Follow the below steps:
Settings → Battery and device care → Battery → More battery settings → Turn Adaptive battery on.

I have already done all that. What I am getting at is that compared to ui 2.5 I have noticed a large battery drain with ui 3.0. Where as in ui 2.5 I was given the option of optimized battery performance and I was getting at least 1 day and 2 - 4 hrs of estimated battery time. Now I am only getting an estimated 21 to 22 estimated battery time. I understand that the batter needs time to adjust when a new ui is implemented for at least a week, but when it's been nearly a month something is up. My settings have not changed since ui 2.5 and all apps that were asleep before are still asleep now. The only difference is that there is no optimized power usage option under the power savings menu and that made all the difference before. Maybe that should be changed.
