one ui 3.0 power saving options and battery life.

So is it just me or did one ui 3.0 make the battery suck. I'm using a north American note 20 ultra and I lost about 7 hrs of total battery life after the update. I did all the resets, cache wipes etc etc. Before the update I was getting approximately 8 hrs of screen on time at around 20 to 30 percent left of battery, now I'm at 5.5 hrs to 6 hrs at that percentage. At full charge my phone says I have 21 hrs of total battery time, before I would have approximately 1 day and 3 hrs left of battery.

On one ui 2.5 I was always on the optimized power savingssetting, great battery savings with 120 hrz on. Life was good. Why did Samsung get rid of these battery savings features. The power saving options in one ui 3 doesn't allow you to use 120 hrz. Why would they do this? They don't seem to have a brain among them sometimes. Rant over.

First, clear cache and data from Device Care application...and restart your device.

Did you set Adaptative Battery
check pictures
You surely have a adaptative refresh rate, enable it...

Don't forget than your battery need few days to get the most of adaptative possibilities

Already did the restart and cache wipeand all that lovely stuff. Yes adaptive battery is on and the phone has had several weeks to adapt to my usage. What do you mean by chekc pictures.

The power saving a options do not allow the adaptive refresh rate and only allows the standard refresh rate of 60 hrz.

I don't have a 120hz phone, but I know you can define it to have a adaptative refresh rate...

The note 20 ultra has a 120 hrtz refresh rate that is also adaptive under one option

funny how your battery got worst but now mine got way better from last month. Now my note 10 plus is new again.

Yea it's weird. Before the update I could use this phone heavily throughout the day (YouTube, Instagram, web browsing etc etc) and some days I would get up the next morning and still have 30 percent left on my battery. Now I'm lucky if I have 30 percent left by 9 pm

Most likely you will have to wait for an update to fix the drain if there's something not usual or that you can see in the device manager. You can also try calibrating the battery but I didn't find much use it that, the best way is to reset the adaptive battery learning but again not sure how to do that anymore with all these new changes
