There's a saying in English. "A leopard can't change its spots". No matter what anyone posts, or says, users in canada will never get a new OS upgrade before a new phone is released. Look the upgrade schedules came out in December, first promise was Jan 2019, then Feb 4 2019, that never happened. You'll see no updates before the unpacked event Feb 20.

Last year for the S8. The year before for the S7. The year before those 2 for the S6...

sorry ChMultimedia, the release date of android 8.0 for the S8 in Canada was released March 19 2018 while the S9 was released March 12. both dates according to android authority. s8 was released for sale on 21 April 2017, the s7 got its update to 7.0 on June 11 2017. dates according to mobilesyrup. so as I said Samsung will release the update to the s9 9.0 after they release the S10. as I've said Feb 4 is here and no software update for the s9.
