My phone's been restarting a few times since it fell into water last night. Maybe it's hardware related, but I don't know what else it could be as it is functioning properly when it's on. Any ideas?

Maybe even longer... a couple days. However, note that once water damage has occurred, your phone's on borrowed time.  Corrosion will happen regardless and your phone will die an inevitable death.

Got a Note phone? If it's the Note8 or more recent, it is IP68 certified. So this behaviour is odd and in contradiction with it.

It's the Note 9, so I know it's strange

I would concentrate on the USBC port. make sure it is dry.

Late reply, but back then the issue was somehow related to the finger print scanner on my phone. After I disabled it the restarts stopped, and if I enabled it again the phone would restart.

So I kept using it with the finger print disabled and there were no problems. But after some update that came later, there was no problem with enabling it again.

I don't know what caused the whole thing, but it somehow got fixed.

I am still using my Note 9 without any issues.
