The N8 battery gets to 100% the led goes green a few seconds later it goes red back to green and turns the screen on for ~5 seconds turns then turns off and repeats for the duration of the night.

latest updates
factory reset
ran the device optimation in samsung members
all diagnostics appear fine
anything else I should try before I return it to the store?

Have you tried using a different charger to see if the same thing happens when it's fully charged?

When your phone is charged 100% than try connecting phone to computer to charge and see if issue presist. Contact samsung service to whatever problem you find it can be either phone or charger.

If your phone is only 2 weeks old and this has happened since day 1... I would take it back...
Yes try as Cprice and Jmak says ie try another charger but if it happens again on another charger it has to be your phone...

Hey @uppitydowney, this issue is difficult to diagnose or troubleshoot without physically inspecting your device. Please contact your local Samsung Service Center (http://www.samsung.com/ca/support/servicelocation/). Thanks!

it was a issue from day one i ended up returning the n8 for a replacement. The new one has no issues. wasn't dust or water or proximity issues. it was something with the fast charge in the phone.
