Why was this removed last year when the S20 launched and the Note 20 Ultra has never had it. Seems they completely removed this from 2020 devices for some stupid reason.

Samsung this was a critical feature and something I need and for some stupid reason in your infinite stupidty removed it in 2020.

Please add it back! Keep dropping features and options and I'll have no reason to keep buying your devices Samsung!

Hi BloodWolfe,

Secure Folder allows you to share contact & calendar data outside of Secure Folder.

Follow the below steps:

- Tap the menu button [︙] → Settings →Notifications and data → Contacts and Calendar.

- Turn Contacts & Calendars on or off under the Import to Secure Folder heading.

If turned on :

Contacts & Calendar information of outside Secure Folder is displayed inside Secure Folder.

NOTE – you cannot edit imported data inside Secure Folder.

To Export

  1. Tap the menu button [︙] → Settings →Notifications and data → Contacts and Calendar.
  2. Turn Contacts & Calendars on or off under the Export to Secure Folder heading.

If turned on :

  • Contacts & Calendar information in Secure Folder is displayed in the Contact and Calendar app outside Secure Folder.

I know all that and tried it many times and that option has never been available on my Note 20 Ultra. Other forums I have read it disappeared with the S20 launch and was never available on those devices either.

I tried factory reset in January when the update came out and again this month (March) after the last update and both times these updates never brought this back and factory resets have not helped either so clearly Samsung has removed this feature from 2020 devices and I can only assume the S21's so far?

I've used that feature for years on my previous Notes so I don't know why it was removed from the 2020 phones but it's driving me nuts constantly losing key features.

Same problem here. In my other phone (s10) the option is still there.

Thanks for confirming it's not just me. At least I don't feel as alone lol.

Almost makes me regret buying the Note 20 Ultra and selling my Note 10+ now but this and other recent issues I'm done with Samsung. If the issues aren't resolved soon by the time I'm ready to upgrade then I'll buy something else. So sick of samsung every so often they EFF things up, sometimes fix it eventually, it's just annoying AF.

I wish had read this comment before bought S note 20 ultra. I'm disappointed by a feature which I found incredibly useful. Since it allowed me to separate work from personal life. Please Samsung try to fix this little issue for you.

Even my previous Samsung A40 kept this option active.

I've given up on Samsung and going to the pixel 6 pro when it's out.

This feature never returned. On a 23u here. Indeed frustrating, as frustrating as no longer being able to freely organize the items in the secure folder.

I know at least one competitor where you don't just loose features out of the blue. As long as as this keeps happening, it's just a toy, because you can't rely on the next iteration to have certain features.

The backup has been removed, too. You only can restore old backups, but no longer create new ones. To me it looks like they want to only put minimal effort into the secure folder going forward and cut down features for it, possibly dropping it altogether.
