I dropped and broke the screen of my note 10+ today and now in trying to transfer everything onto my old note 8 but neither cable nor wifi are working. Yes, they are both connected to the same wifi network and yes I tried to reset the transfer multiple times. Nothing is working. My note 8 is stuck on, "get connected to transfer data" and my note 10+ is forever stuck on "Get connected". I don't know what's going on. Help please!

It's possible that something in addition to the screen on your Note10+ got damaged.

If you have a computer, try to connect the Note10+ to your computer & see if the Note10+ is visible to your computer?

If it is, you should be able to transfer the data to your computer. 

NOTE! This is *NOT* using Smart Switch.

If you're trying to transfer pictures etc, this should work. 🤞🏻

Sorry to hear this issue from you and appreciate your efforts in trying the necessary troubleshooting steps to transfer the data. 

As said by RedDogRabbit please connect to the computer and see if your Note10+ is visible.

Connect your previous device to the computer using the device’s USB cable. On the computer, follow the on-screen instructions to back up data from the device. Then, disconnect your previous device from the computer. Connect your device to the computer using the USB cable. On the computer, follow the on-screen instructions to transfer data to your device.
