Galaxy NoteI have a Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5G and at the end of August 2023 I moved over to Telus on their 5G+, everything was fine and I was I was getting 5G signal. Did a software on September 7th and noticed that I wasn't getting 5G in my area anymore but was still getting 5G in either areas. But somewhere between September 17thand October 1st I no longer have been getting 5G signal. My phone connects to LTE & LTE+ without issue.
Things that I have already tried to resolve the issue but haven't worked:
- Reset network settings
- Did *#2263# in phone dialer to access "ServiceMode" / Band Selection and made sure that NR5G is selected
- When into Settings/Connections/Mobile Networks and made sure that 5G/LTE/WCDMA/GSM is selected and auto connect
- Wiped data cache
- Changed SIM card
- Spoke with Telus support
- Factory reset phone
- Updated phone this morning with latest update
Still no 5G after all that.
Anybody else got any ideas?

Galaxy NoteOnly thing that I can think of, other than a possible hardware issue (Did you run Samsung's Diagnostics for the SIM [I know you changed it, but it could be the SIM "reader" in the slot?] and Mobile Networks?) is that some (maybe all) of the Carriers are offering lower rates for slower networks. I'm not thinking that you made any changes to your service, but it might be remotely possible that Telus "flipped a switch" and put your SIM on a reduced speed connection?
Sometimes the CSR you get on the line, may not be as knowledgeable, or as experienced as we hope..
If it's none of the above possibilities, then either something in an update broke your connectivity (unlikely unless there's thousands of others with the same issue), or a hardware issue. 🤷🏼

Galaxy NoteSome things that I forgot to mention that I also did:
I did run Samsung diagnostic for SIM card, I also cleared cache in Settings/Apps/SIM Toolkit.
I put my SIM card in my partner's phone and she gets 5G without issue.
I also reinstalled the big update from September 7th
My thoughts on what could be causing the issue:
Software issue?
Installed app causing the issue?
Hardware issue?

Galaxy NoteYeah I'd agree that it's most likely be a software or hardware issue.
I don't know of any 3rd party apps that could cause the issue, unless it's not an actual data speed connection issue, but it could be a network display issue 🤔
I know that some themes can change what you see, ie: 4G, 5G... but that's likely to be a stretch?
Have you run an Oocla speed test to see if you are getting what is displayed, or getting much faster than what LTE can deliver?

Galaxy NoteI wonder if switching to my eSim would make a difference.

Galaxy NoteI guess that you checked the settings in SIM Manager? I don't have eSIM on my device, but might be worth checking / trying?
