Switched Carriers / Old Bloatware

Recently switched to Koodo from Virgin Mobile and since Virgin was the first SIM to go into my Note 8 that's the carrier bloat I have stuck on my phone. I'm with Koodo now but I can't uninstall Virgin Self Care / Member Benefits / Fibe TV apps. I'd prefer not to have carrier apps stuck on my unlocked phone for a company I no longer deal with.

Please help

just disable them since it can't be uninstalled

Yeah, if you go into the application manager and find the app, there will be an option to disable it

download koodo firmware from sammobile and flash with odin

You might have to Wipe Data before you Flash with Odin - Flashing different Carrier's Firmware doesn't Factory Reset or Wipe Data 🐧

you can change your csc code from virgin mobile to koodo. type *#272*Device IMEI# at Phone dial pad. then select koodo csc and click install. doing this will factory reset your phone so be sure to back up. I did this on my note 8 when I switched carrier as well.

This solved my problem. I saw this just as I was about to flash koodo fw through odin. I feel like this is the easier solution. Thanks! Just a note I originally tried XAC but after wipe and reboot it saw recognized koodo SIM. wiped and rebooted automatically again then it was set to KDO. Which is perfectly fine. I now have Amazon Shopping app instead of the 3 Virgin Mobile apps.
