Hi there,
My Middle East purchased S24 Ultra won't connect to 5G network in canada. I have red some posts and found it related to locked 5G network. Is there any solution for this? Thanks

Hi, we are sorry to hear this issue from you, please try the following steps and see if it helps.

 1.Check your network mode settings (Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Network Mode) and ensure it is set to 5G/LTE/WCDMA/GSM.

2. Verify if 5G coverage is available in your area by contacting your mobile service provider.

3. Confirm that your mobile service plan includes 5G access; if not, upgrade your plan.

4. Restart your phone to see if this resolves the issue.

5. Reset your network settings (Settings > System > Advanced > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth).

Thank you for your reply. I've already done all the above steps but have no success. As I mentioned, the issue relates to the locked 5G network. It seems Samsung has locked the phones, which come from another region.

Try changing your CSC to WWD. It's worked for other international phones used in Canada. OTA updates won't work if you do this so you'd have to temporarily switch back to your original CSC to get an update.

Thanks, but I don't know how to change CSC to WWD. Is there any instructions for that?

Just Google "Samsung change CSC SamFW" and you'll find links to instructions. It's not hard.

My two Australian Samsung S23 Ultra phones are the same no 5g coverage on them. I spoke with Samsung Canada tech specialist and they know about this issue and apparently they have made the phones like this on purpose.

I wanted to inform you all that after updating my phone with recent Samsung update, my phone has been able to connect to the 5G network. FYI
