Since most of my family has an iPhone, I would send them photos using the link share option after tapping a bunch of photos. Unfortunately, the option to do this since upgrading to Android 12 is gone.

Private share just isn't the same. Why would this option be removed and how can I get it back?
Thanks

Hi, I just wanted to say thank you for that info. I dont use the link share as often as others but its the best way I know of (thats also simple, or was) to send videos that retain their quality. I doubt I wouldve found that method myself? Much appreciated!

This option worked for me, had to just copy the link from a text to myself and then email it to myself. Why is the link sharing option no longer available on quickshare? I used to select a large amount of photos > share with quickshare and linkshare option would be there. I have gone through all of my phone settings and nothing does anything to get it back.

Hello all,

Im another of us that is baffled why theyve removed (hidden) the link sharing, although I can affirm that Dave gave us the solution, however, its slightly convoluted (thanks Samsung).

I humbly want to add one small bit to Daves instructions. Where he said 'attach' well my phone shows 3 icons, one is image, one is video, and the 3rd is a + sign. Using the plus sign will not alow link sharing as far as I can tell, but the other 2 will.

My 2 cents on why Samsung did this... Its probably due to people mistakenly linking their albums to contacts they didnt mean to (ie: dummies, no offense), because it appears link sharing is more 'contact oriented' which I mean, you have to enable it for each contacts instead of just sending the link several people in a group text or something. Now you have to enable each of them, but it appears just the one time. Still a pain, but from that POV , it makes a little more sense. Good that its still there though!!!

Same thing here. I now use Beeper to send true iMessages, but the link sharing option is absolutely necessary.
