So i have yet to remove certain apps from the secure folder on my S22 5G running Android 14. However, I long press on the app I want to move out of the folder and i only get disable(greyed out) and hide (selectable), so I'm at a loss there 🤷‍♀️ if anyone can tell me what I'm doing wrong id appreciate it😁 my main question is that i have apps that are somehow installing updates on my phone. When i go to the Google Play store it says there's are no available updates, I can't find a copy of the playstore in the secure folder either.... What could this be from and how do I put a stop to it?

I use Smart Switch to backup my devices, you choose which apps you want to Backup, not which apps you want to Restore.

You can choose to Backup ALL of your Text Messages, or the x period of time.

Stuff like Contacts, should be Synced with Google, but I back them up anyway.

You can backup all your photos, documents, Settings etc.

It takes about 15-20 minutes to Backup about 90 Gig on my S23 Ultra.

Restore is a bit slower.

Definitely NOT an "all day affair".

Just be certain to backup EVERYTHING you want.

Yes, Samsung's Smart Switch. You can Backup to a computer, USB Type C Memory Stick, or Cloud Storage.

I use the external sd card on my S20 Ultra & a Samsung OTG (memory stick) on my S23 Ultra.

Google photos archive backs up automatically correct? I know locked folder asked the backup option now. Anything else that is common to be looked over or forgotten when backing up to reset a phone?

This is the menu of what you can Backup using Smart Switch.

Make your selection here.

Hi Atsirt, certain apps in the Secure Folder like native Samsung apps cannot be completely uninstalled. If you see apps that are updating but not from the Google Play Store, they may be updated via the Galaxy Store. If you found RedDogRabbit's solution useful, kindly take a moment to click 'Accept as Solution'.
