Auto restart

Since One UI 5.1 Android 13 for S21U my phone doesn't auto restart? I have to do it myself

Auto Restart was "updated" to as needed, as opposed to scheduled. 

It's not a big deal to Reboot your device, and if you turn it off at night, it's the same thing.

And just to add correct me if I'm wrong I think it only restarts if it detects errors. So if it's not restarting it's a good thing.

While Samsung hasn't made any comments, regarding the algorithm (if any) used to determine when the device will Reboot, I suspect that it's based on the amount of RAM that is being used.

Rebooting the device will clear the RAM. 

I Reboot my device myself, primarily because:

• a) I want to decide when it Reboots.
• b) The Theme I use requires a Reboot after it's installation.

I agree I would rather have control over that also and like you stated it's the same thing SD turning it off and back on yourself.

Hi, yes as said by RedDogRabbit the new software version has been improved and now offering the option to Restart when needed.

So that, you can restart the device only when needed and the phone is not in use.
