Hey

I changed my phone from S10+ to S22.

When I transfered all my data to the new phone, it only transfered entries from max 3 years ago.

It is very important for me that all my calendar data in transfered.

How can I sync the entire calendar tonthe new phone?

If you're using Samsung's Calendar, I'm not sure if you can?

Google Calendar looks like it syncs the last 5 years, not sure if you can go back further than that on a mobile device, but Google Calendar on your desktop computer goes back forever.

Perhaps a better question would be not how to sync, but how to just simply transfer whole data (not just the last 3 years, but last 10 years of calendar entries) from one phone to another (not like to sync everytime, but only one time transfer).

Is there any 3rd party software that allows that, if I cant get with Samsung/Google?

I don't know if there's a way to just transfer the data from your calendar, but if you're using Google Calendar, when you login to Google, it should just populate your calendar automatically, same as if you use Gmail, Google Messages (for example, if you Clear Cache & Data for Google Messages, all your Messages will be added back, even though you Cleared all the Data).

I know that with Smart Switch, it won't backup any calendar entries, so it won't be there if you Restored.

Just found some info. If you are using Google Calendar, Google limited the sharing.

This is a limitation of Google's calendar sync on Android. Events older than 12 months (and events more than 12 months into the future) are usually only available online in the web browser at Google Calendar.

So, it all depends on where you host your Calendar data and the hosting limitation.

If you're signed into your Google account & using the Google Calendar app on your phone, Google will sync up to 5 years of data.

If you're using a computer, there's no limit on how far back you can go.

I'm running One UI V4.1 (Android 12) and the current Google Calendar from the Play Store, and I can go back 5 years and see the Notice I posted in the screen shot.

My Calendar entries are there going back 5 years, and it's freshly synced as I Factory Reset after I received the One UI V4.1 Update earlier last week.

I know that there's some information from Google saying that it's one year, but the support link from Google dates back to 2018. It doesn't seem to be a very popular search, as most of the links are pretty old, so maybe Google has changed the number of years of Mobile app support. They certainly have on my device.

There's also a number of links saying that you can go back "forever" using a computer?
