Galaxy SHi IceEmzMom,
The image might have been deleted from your device or the sender's device after it was sent. WhatsApp stores media on your phone, and if the file has been removed, it won’t display correctly.
The file might have been corrupted while transferring or saving on the phone.
Please ensure that the image is still in your phone's storage by checking the "WhatsApp/Media" folder.
Verify that there is enough free storage space on your device.
Clear cache for the Whatsapp: Go to Settings > Apps > WhatsApp > Storage > Clear Cache. Do not clear data, as that would delete your chats and media.
Grant Permissions: Ensure WhatsApp has permission to access storage. Go to Settings > Apps > WhatsApp > Permissions and make sure Storage is allowed.
If these steps don’t resolve the issue, it’s possible that the image file is lost or corrupted beyond recovery.
Thank you.
