can't insert gif from gboard to text message

hi, i am not able to insert gif from Google key board to the Samsung text message software ? is it a bug?

could be a bug I just tried it and it works for me. converts it to a MMS

I couldn't add using GBoard either but it works from the updated Samsung keyboard.
