can't open links in apps

I can't open links in apps I've tried opening them in my emails and tried opening them in my text messages whether it be for a link to YouTube or to an etransfer and they just won't open, they used to but not sure what happened. I have gone to settings and then apps and default apps and it says that "open links in apps" is on but yeah it doesn't. Any help would be great

nothing happens when I download file can't click on my device or any device it just opens in Word

Sometimes just a simple reboot does the trick.

You're right, i always forgot not all the people are rebooting their device regurarely
