Almost a year ago I switched from s9+ to s24. But I sometimes feel regret from switching. The major drawback is you can't watch while on call (including calls on What's App, FB messenger, etc.). This is a huge issue for me because I'm in a long term relationship and can't watch together, which on s9+ I was able to do it. Are there any way that I can get around this restriction?

A speculative side note, annoyingly just YouTube works. It made me think they made Android 14's software purposefully preventing you watching other applications other than YouTube, on call? What do you think?

What about Netflix? YouTube is a weird exception. I can watch YouTube, I have no problem with that. But as I said anything other than YouTube is not working

Hi arhanzo,

That's strange to hear that YouTube is the only app that allows you to watch videos while on a call.

Please try using the split-screen feature on your Galaxy S24. Open the video app (like Netflix, Hulu, or Facebook Watch) and the calling app simultaneously.

If the app doesn’t work, try accessing the streaming service through a web browser (like Chrome) instead of the app. Some websites may allow you to continue playing videos while on a call.

Try using different calling apps to see if they handle video playback differently. Each app has its own set of functionalities and limitations.

Thank you.

No, it doesn't work no matter what. I know each apps have limitations (eg. You can't screenshot Netflix). This is not about the apps. I was able to watch from whatever app, both browser and app based videos while on call with my s9+. I don't think this is about the apps, it's about phone's own software that limits it. I have already tried with your solutions. If I was able successfully, I wouldn't have written my frustrations. Unfortunately your answers and solutions really doesn't helps.

@arhanzo
Have you tried Good Lock Sound Assistant yet? There's a feature that let's you choose simultaneous sound playback for apps.
