Galaxy SHey there, so for a while i have noticed the default samsung photo editor app is taking up 10GB of storage. After a lot of troubleshooting with samsung support, i was told that my last resort would be disabling the app altogether. Can someone guide me with some info such as whats the name of the package for the photo editor app?

Galaxy S10 Gig??
I don't see how that is possible in any reality.
On my S20 Ultra, Samsung's Photo Editor is using about 62 Meg.
Whomever you spoke with at Samsung Support doesn't seem to know what they are talking about.
Start by clearing cache & data for Samsung's Photo Editor app & your problem should be resolved.
Go to Settings > apps > Photo Editor > Storage & Clear both Cache & Data > Reboot.

Galaxy SHi, the data in the Photo Editor of my Samsung S20 Ultra is consuming more than 5GB. I want to Clear Data but am afraid to delete my pictures. Is this going to happen? What is stored in the data anyway? Or the pictures stored in Gallery? Help please!

Galaxy SData would likely be your pictures. If you want to make sure that you don't lose them, copy them to your computer or sd card if you have one & then clear the data in the photo editor app.

Galaxy SI have attached the requested image. I have tried clearing the cache from the bootloader, and even reinstalled a new rom. At the same time, i have tried multiple times to delete all the data and the cache of the photo editor app but as soon as i do that, it takes back the 10GB.
I have talked with samsung support about 4 times, only this last time i got this far to be asked about my model number and to give me sort of a solution. I was instructed to root my phone and to disable the app altogether as apparently that would be the only way of resolving this.

Galaxy SI find it very unlikely that you would be instructed to Root your phone by Samsung Support & unless you have the International Exynos variant - You would find it extremely difficult (if not impossible) depending on whether or not you have the Exynos or the Snapdragon variant.
Aside from that, you don't need Root to disable any system app. This can be done with either adb or a couple of Samsung Package Disabler apps.
Have you tried a Factory Reset to see if that will fix the issue, but again unless it's inexplicable as to why you're seeing 10 Gig in Samsung's Photo Editor app.

Galaxy SHi, as suggested by Tallman, we request you to go for backup and reset.
Here are the steps to backup your data:
Backup from Samsung account--Apps > Settings > Cloud > Backup > Select the data > Back up now.
Backup from Google account--Apps > Settings > Backup and reset.
Here are the steps for factory reset, settings>>General management>>Reset>>Factory data reset>>Scroll down to the bottom and tap on Reset>> Delete All.
