Do Not Disturb Not Working For Facebook Messenger

So my dnd automatically turn on at night and i make sure its on. No one can call me except my dad that's the only thing i set to ring. Then my messenger ring in the middle of the night while my dnd is turned on. I thought it was just buggy but i tested it this morning i turned on dnd and called my phone through messenger and it rang. Is there a fix for this?

Go to Settings > Do Not Disturb & make sure that Messenger is not an excluded app.

ie: I allow two apps to ignore DND Ampere & Wavelet. Remove Messenger if it's there.

No apps is allowed only media sound and alarms and my dad is allowed but fb messenger still rings.

Sounds like it's a Messenger issue if it's bypassing Do Not Disturb.

There used to be a Setting in Notifications, where you could go to an app, and Toggle ON "Ignore Do Not Disturb", but I think that setting has been replaced with the Setting in Do Not Disturb, where you can allow apps to ignore DND.

Check the Settings in Messenger.

I reported the issue to Messenger. I didn't see the "Ignore Do Not Disturb" in Messenger settings

Messenger will still ring with DND enabled; only notifications will not stopped.

Is there a way to change it so it doesn't ring in dnd? I can't silent it because i wont hear when my picked contacts calls me.

Not that I'm aware of. I just did a quick Google search and others complain of this behaviour a well.

I tried everything, but this works:

Settings > App notifications > Messenger > Silent

Install Macrodroid app. Set up macro: Trigger = Notification Received from Messenger, Action = Media > Play/Stop Sound > select a sound, Constraints = Notification > Priority Mode / Do Not Disturb > Not in mode > Allow Priority Notifications.
