Hi there.

I received my S24 ultra and love it. When I bought it it came with a black film that protects the screen when first purchased thst you peel off initially. After that, does anybody know if the phone otherwise comes with any other kind of clear film over the face of the phone? I don't want to go peeling at or digging to see if anything lifts off and scratch the phone in the process. I only ask because I know older S series phones came with a buildt in either film or protector. What led me to make this threat is that (and I do not know how it happened as I'm very careful), I found a very tiny minor scratch on the front of the face of the phone. Abit upset about it but I thought if there was another film on top then I know this isn't a scratch into the phone. I'm surprised it happened tbh as I am super careful and Samsung rides themselves on the string *** they use.

There's no film/screen protector that comes with the phone. You have to buy it separately if you want one. Many say that you don't need one as the S24's new screen is more scratch resistant and is also anti reflective but accidents happen. I installed a tempered glass screen protector on mine.

I have broken two glass screen protectors.

But the actual screen was fine.

GG2 is correct... get one and put it on.

Thank you for the help. I'm not sure which screen protector to buy. I thought otterbox as I've always used their cases but I heard ZAGG was good too. Is there any disadvantages to using actual glass? Does it crack easier or possible if dropped crack the phone face to since being glass ?

I've been using Whitestone Dome Tempered Glass screen protectors, since they first came out.

The one that I use has the edge to edge Liquid Adhesive. It a bit more complicated to install than Whitestone's other screen protector, but I feel exceptionally confident with it.

There's zero issues with the Finger Print sensor, it doesn't look like you have a screen protector installed, it feels exactly like glass, because it is.

Ultras are around $2,000, so I definitely don't want to be replacing screens, or living with scratches.. Keys in the same pocket as your phone CAN happen, although I never.. EVER have ANYTHING in the same pocket as my phone.. but.. they're called accidents for a reason.

Glass will always protect better than film. I've never used ZAGG so can't help you there. I installed the Whitestone Dome Glass EA, it's the one without the liquid adhesive and its very easy to install. You will have to re-register your fingerprints, turn on sensitivity, but you will lose the anti-reflective properties of the screen. You have to chose what's important to you.

Quick question, I saw that the Whitestone dome screen protector says full screen protection. Does it interfere with your case if you use one?

I'm using the ESR screen protector right now and it's a bit smaller than the actual screen for "case compatibility" but it is actually showing gaps all around between the protector and case. There's so much dust everytime and it's driving me nuts lol

I have the ESR Magsafe case dark smoke and doesn't interfere at all with the screen protector. The screen protector leaves a very minute gap that when the case is on, you can't feel it. I think that little gap is necessary with cases obviously but i believe this is as good as it gets without interference.

The screen protector is sooo easy to apply, took me literally 10 secs to have a perfect install.

Ok cool. Thanks for the info. I might just return the ESR one and try the Whitestone then.

My gaps are small but big enough to see it visually easily.

And since the borders of the screen protectors are black, it makes it seem like my side bezels are bigger then the top and bottom ones.
