Galaxy SPress and hold both the power & volume up button until you see the recovery menu. Press volume down until you highlight clear cache partition, press power button to confirm, then it should be on reboot, press power button and you're done.

Galaxy SYou could also go to Settings > Apps Toggle On "Show System Apps" & Search for Biometrics, Click on it & Scroll down to Storage & Clear BOTH Cache & Data for Biometrics. ⚠️
You'll have to redo your Finger Print & Face Unlock etc. ⚠️

Galaxy SHi, please try the steps provided by GG2 and RedDogRabbit to perform Wipe cache partiton, Clear Cache & Clear Data for Biometrics and verify if your'e able to register your fingerprint.
If the above steps doesn't work, we suggest you to perform back up and factory reset by following the steps in the given links.
