A few days ago on my S10, my volume buttons stopped changing the volume when holding them down. I can only change the volume in increments one press at a time. The only thing that seems to temporarily fix it is restarting the phone. But then the issue comes back after a bit.

HOW?! It's integrated by Google. You can't simply remove it.

I'm pretty sure this isn't a hardware problem I didn't start having any issues like this (and a few others) till I updated my phone the last time

I have the same problem and it seemed to only happen after the latest software update..

I didnt realise this was a new topic until i checked the other comment's timestamps and realised this is a new thread, thought i was reading some random thread from like 4 years ago, lol. Same problem here, stopped working since that last software update. I dont use my google assistant, its been disabled since i first got the phone. Which means its 100% a bug or "new feature" of that last software update

I had this problem when the new sw patch installed. I found "wireless headphones" under devices in the Google assistant page (despite not being connected to them at the time) and disabled them. That fixed the issue for me.

Hi, I have recently developed this issue on my s10. It seems to have come from a recent software update.

Description of issue: When the aux jack is occupied and is sending audio to an external headphones/speakers, the volume can only go up in increments instead of just holding it down

Personally, I hope this gets fixed soon because its really annoying. As a person who uses headphones daily, I hate this issue.

Hi Samsung Members, Please try disabling the Google assistant and check if the issue got resolved. If you still experiencing the issue, then I suggest you please use the link to generate the error report from Samsung Members app so that our team can review the Log Files and will get back to you.

In step 5, please select "Application" category.

In step 6, Please check "send the system log data".

I have this issue as well on my s10. Works when restarting my phone but that only helps for a day or so. I use Google assistant and should not have to disable one feature for another to work
