I got a notification from the Play Store saying it needs updating, but it's not on my phone. When I check the Play store, its not listed in my app section either.
Just curious to know...

It's on my phone and there's an update for it. The app only works when you're setting up your phone and migrating data and/or apps from another device.
Android Switch is likely a built-in system app responsible for data migration during device setup, similar to Samsung Smart Switch.
Since it only functions when setting up a new phone or restoring data, it remains hidden from the app drawer and general usage. The update you’re seeing is probably just a bug fix or compatibility improvement for smoother transfers in future setups.
