I just got my Galaxy S23 and immediately started having wifi issues. It keeps saying connected without internet. Sometimes the wifi will work for a few hours or a few minutes and then I'm plagued with no wifi. It seems numerous message boards are mentioning similar wifi issues with the S23, but every time I call Samsung support they tell me they are unaware of any issues.

I've tried numerous troubleshooting techniques but ultimately end up at the same spot - wifi connected without internet. Despite my objection, Samsung support made me do a factory reset. This did nothing to fix the problem.

Is anyone else having similar issues? Has anyone figured out a fix?

I'm very upset that I paid over $1000 for a phone that doesn't work on wifi.

There are lots of possibilities causing such a problem. You may need to try many methods. I can suggest some of them that you can try.

- Restart your home router.

- Make sure your router software is up to date

- Try Open Settings -> Connections -> WiFi -> Click the gear button on your network -> Click View more (at bottom) -> MAC Address type

Try to change to Phone MAC if you are on Randomized MAC

- Did you using IPv6 for WAN in your router? Try disable it.

If you are using a Mesh network, try restart the Mesh network. It could be one of the node has problem.

I am unaware of 5 GHz but there seems to be issue with 6 GHz and it is widespreaded. I have noticed multiple post on multiple forums.

From troubleshooting what i noticed that if i set IP address from my phone wifi to DHCP, my phone is not connecting to 6E wifi at all. When i set it to static ip address then there is no issue with connection. (I haven't tested for long periods as static is not that secured)

I am having the SAME issues. Are you on Xfinity wifi by any chance? I'm trying to figure out if it's just Xfinity.

If you have a modem that supports 6ghz, try logging into your modem and disabling that. It seemed to make it better for me.

I tried everyone's troubleshooting suggestions and they didn't work and T-Mobile and Xfinity are clueless as to how to help.

Hi Helenna, There is definitely bug in Wifi 6E connection. There are multiple posts here and on reddit. Device is not connecting to Wifi 6E at all when device IP is set to DHCP when we set device IP to static, it is workig fine. But I am not confident with changing my IP to static as it is less secured and prone to hacking. Please report this defect if possible.

Hi all, thanks for the tips.

I am in Canada and with Virgin Plus (associated with Bell) for internet. It looks like my wifi has 5ghz as far as I can tell.

I tried all of Tallman's suggestions, with the exception of disabling IPv6 (since I don't know what that is).

Nothing has worked. Sometimes I can get a connection for a few hours, but other times, like today, it goes out every few minutes and is unusable.

I keep reading that Samsung is aware of these issues with the S23 Ultra...I just hope they are working on a fix for the S23 as well.

Try to reach out to virgin and see if they can provide any troubleshooting steps. I am having issue with s23 wifi as well but mine is specific to 6GHz wifi band. 5GHz is working perfectly fine.

I have the S23 with Koodo. My internet router is 2.4 - 5ghz and I'm having similar issues with Wi-Fi. Some apps work without issue on Wi-Fi and others will only work on data. I've had the phone for 30 days. I've done everything including a factory reset. When I called uBreakiFix they told me they would have to send my device back to Samsung and be without a device for over 7 business days

I did call Virgin and they tried to help but determined the issue is with the phone since all other devices can connect to the wifi without issue.

I hope you get your issue solved soon.
