Gboard keep switching to Dynamic Color theme

On my Galaxy S24 Ultra Gboard theme keeps switching to "Dynamic Color" after a while even after I chose "Default Dark". This keeps happening, every time I change back to Default Dark, GBoard will switch to Dynamic color again after a while. On Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra running Android 14. I already turned off colour palette on Wallpapers and Style in Android settings, so not sure what's the issue. Any suggestions?

Hi, we request you to try clearing the cache and data for the Gboard app in the phone's settings.

If the problem persists, consider reinstalling the Gboard app from the Google Play Store.

Additionally, check for any software updates for both your device and the Gboard app to ensure you have the latest versions.

This does not work.  These are also generic troubleshooting steps that appear not to have been vetted before posting. I was really hoping for a specific resolution to this this particular issue.

I'm having the same issue for a few weeks. The issue is not just on Samsung devices, as I'm using a Google Pixel 8. I'm on the beta version of GBoard and I've considered using the regular version. What version are you on?

I have the same version on s24 Plus. There's no rhyme or reason as to when it changes back to the default theme.

Same here and I have a s24 Plus.

I'm adding this as it's a common issue right now with the entire s24 line. I just got an update that I believe fixes the muted colors in the s24 versus previous devices. It seems to be okay now but still very subtle.

Agree on the muted colors. Even the spectrum brightness are not as bright as they were on my S10+

Same issue here.  It just started happening so I am assuming it is related to a recent code drop.
