Gboard keep switching to Dynamic Color theme

On my Galaxy S24 Ultra Gboard theme keeps switching to "Dynamic Color" after a while even after I chose "Default Dark". This keeps happening, every time I change back to Default Dark, GBoard will switch to Dynamic color again after a while. On Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra running Android 14. I already turned off colour palette on Wallpapers and Style in Android settings, so not sure what's the issue. Any suggestions?

I just switched the battery optimization for Gboard to unrestricted but don't know if that's going to change anything. Otherwise it's still reverting back to the default theme every so often.

I'm having the same problem with my S21. Every morning the GBoard resets to default instead of the dark mode I had selected.

I came here via Google search looking for answers to this same problem. I have the same problem on OnePlus 11 5G. It started happening a few weeks ago. This seems to be a Google issue rather than manufacturer issue.

I'm running an S24 and S20 identical set up on separate carriers both up to date and both have the same issue with Gboard almost every day now, infuriating!

Unfortunately I have the same problem. The keyboard switches to dynamic colors on its own and I have to constantly change them. There doesn't seem to be a solution and it's very annoying.

having a similar problem, my gboard just randomly reset the dynamic color palette to a completely unrelated color this morning.

it keeps resetting back to this dynamic color setting when ive manually set it to the dark mode.

on an s23+, not on any beta. ive deleted the app, cleared rhe cache and data AND restarted my phone. ive even tried changing my wallpaper to get it back to the right color palette, which had worked before but doesnt work now.
