Asked gmail - no outages. Started yesterday, fine before. Cleared cache etc. Reinstalled updates. Have to manually refresh. Some going to spam for no reason and wasn't happening before. Tested on iPhone,  no issues so leads me to think phone issue. S21+, have checked all notification settings, fails me. Other members at home, works fine..

Any tips would be helpful. Thanks

Hi, please try the below steps and get back to us with the results.

Go to Settings > Apps > tap on the top-right corner and select Special access > Optimize Battery Usage > select All apps where it says Optimized apps. Scroll down to locate Gmail and turn it Off.

Looks like that worked!!! Wow lol. So when I check that setting every single app is being optimized, should i turn them all off? That's weird because I never changed that setting. Just got the phone yesterday lol

Hi, you can enable the apps which you would like to optimize.

I personally turn off optimizations for messaging and email apps. I had the same issue where I wasn't getting some notifications. The reason being it'll kill the app if it deems demanding, not in use and/or draining the battery.

Just turn off optimization on apps that seem to be having issues with optimization. Otherwise it should be fine.
