Google Play System Still in April

Is it normal that my galaxy flip 6 is stuck in the month of April of the google play system?

Hi MChau,

Google Play system updates should occur regularly. Please try these steps to fix it:

Check for Updates: Go to Settings > Security > Google Play system update and manually check for updates.

Restart Device: Sometimes restarting your phone can trigger updates.

Clear Cache: Go to Settings > Apps > Google Play Services, and clear the cache.

If nothing works, a factory reset may help, but please back up your data first.

Play System Updates are one of the very few updates that come directly from Google. 

Over the last couple of years, Google has been kind of inconsistent with the Play System Updates.. 

I've seen at least one other person who was saying the same thing about their Flip device. 

There's nothing that you can do to get the update sooner.

Oh wow, so it means that I should not worry about it. When I get it, I install it. I thought it was just me with that issue

It's not just you. 

My S20 Ultra was on the August Play System Update, for a while before my S23 Ultra received it. 

I am positive that you are not alone with the Flip / Fold being on April's Play System Update though..

Google is weird.. For the previous several months, when one of my devices received a Play System Update, they all received the update at the same time.. but not recently.

I went to settings, about phone, software information, then taped on Google Play system update. It said Jan 2024. I checked for updates and it found and installed Aug 2024.
