Galaxy SHi DoubledotJ,
That's really sad! We are sorry to hear this issue from you. Please try the following troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.
Clear Cache and Data for the messages app:Go to Settings > Apps > Messages. Tap Storage and clear cache and data (this won't delete your messages but may reset app settings). Relaunch the app and test group texting.
If your'e using Samsung Messages app, we recommend you to please switch to Google messages instead of preloaded Samsung Messages App.
Download from Google Play store > Google Messages and set as default. Google Messages ensures a smarter experience through AI suggestions and automatic organization. Test if group messaging works correctly with a different app.
Thank you.

Galaxy SSteps:
1. Make sure you have RCS messaging turned on in your messaging app (google messages or Samsung messages) If this option doesn't appear or won't activate, it could be that your mobile carrier hasn't updated their message handling to include RCS. This is unlikely now a days but might be the problem.
2. Ask that your iPhone contacts make sure they have updated to iOS 18. RCS is supposed to default to ON in that iOS version but you could ask then to make sure.
3. Ask your Android contacts to make sure they have RCS activated.
4. Optional but recommended: delete the existing chat group and start a new one woth the same people. YMMV with this as your contacts might not like it.
5. If it's still not working, then start testing your contacts one at a time. To do this, open a new message to one contact. In your test bubble, it should say RCS message or SMS message. If it says RCS, then both you and the contact are good. This is similar to an iPhone user being able to send an iMessage, versus a text message. If you bubble says SMS, this means you are using the old text messaging standard (sms) and group messaging wi be wonky. In this case, either you or your contact don't have RCS activated, or one of your mobile carriers hasn't added RCS compatibility.
Good luck!
UPDATE:
For completeness, I should add something about "other apps." If you want to "text message" then you should probably stick with google or Samsung messenger for RCS compatibility. There may be third party apps that are RCS compatibility though.
Alternatively, you can switch to a proprietary messaging platform that offers better cross platform communication (android, iPhone, Windows, Linux, etc,) and they operate over a data connection (WiFi or cellular for your mobile) There are many and they offer various features, but the one greatest issue is that as a proprietary platform, every person you chat with has to have the same one installed and create an account. If you are picking one to try, Whatsapp has been around forever, maintains updates, is reliable and has a very large global presence (I've read that globally, whatsapp is bigger than Apple imessaging. But, remember, everyone you are going to chat with also has to install whatsapp. With apple popularity in North America, this is often a hard sell to your iPhone friends.
