Hi Mike7713,

Below are the steps on how to access Samsung cloud data on your PC.

Requirements:
*For PC: Windows 10 version 17763.0 or higher
*On Phone, the Samsung account should be set up and Gallery must be synced to it.
Step 1: Install “Samsung Gallery” app from Windows Store on your PC
Step 2: Once installed you must sign in to the same Samsung account set up on your phone.

Step 3: A Two-step verification code will be sent to the desired phone number or email address.

Note: It is mandatory to bypass Two steps verification screen to access cloud data on your PC
Step 4: Click on Use Cloud to access pictures synced to cloud.

Step 5: To download pictures to PC, click on the drop-down arrow on the top right corner.

Path to access downloaded Cloud pictures on PC:
This PC >> Pictures >> Samsung Cloud Download >> Folder name(as on Phone).

OR

If you have a backup on Samsung Cloud, Then restoring your data is simple. You can transfer it to a new or different device using the Restore feature. Follow the below steps:
Open Settings >> Tap Accounts and backup >> Tap Backup and restore >> Tap Restore data, select your desired device, and then select the content you want to restore(Eg: Contacts, Pictures, Messages, etc.) >> Tap Next >> Tap Restore. If needed, follow the on-screen instructions to download your backup data.

Hi Mike7713,

Also, you can transfer the data to your new device from the old device using Smart Switch.
There are two forms of Smart Switch: the PC version (Smart Switch) and the device version (Smart Switch Mobile).
Install the Smart Switch Mobile app on your device.
With Smart Switch Mobile, data transfer between Galaxy devices is easy.
Place your devices close together (within 8 inches) and run the app on both. Then, on the old device, select [Android Device], [Start], [Connect].
This allows you to send the personal data you’ve saved on your old Galaxy device to the new Galaxy device connected to it.

Or

-Download and install the Samsung Smart Switch Windows app.

- Then connect your old mobile device to a Windows PC using a USB cable.

- Take a full backup by clicking on the “Backup items” tab.

- Once it’s done, click on the “OK” button to confirm the backup.

- Again connect the new Samsung phone to your Windows PC via USB cable.

- Now “Select a Different Backup” and then “Select a Backup to Restore.”

- Click on the “OK“ to allow permissions.

- Finally, the app will notify the successfully restored message.

If you have the smart switch backup on your external sd card, you can just insert the sd card into your new phone & run smart switch mobile restore on the new phone. This is another reason why having an external sd card is perfect.
