How do I always get the Camera app to open with the Rear camera? Often I go to quickly take a picture of something, but find that it's in selfiemode because a certain someone 😉 used my phone to take some selfish. Often causes me to miss the moment that I wanted to capture.

I know that there is already the same topic, but there is no answer from Samsung for 4 years!

No, this setting would not take effect, you can try it by yourself:)

Also there is a description that it handles only camera modes (video/photo), not rear/selfie camera.

Please, make a ticket about this problem, because in a thread below, you already ignored people with no answer for 4 years, even if people still write there time to time asking about any updates.

There is no such a problem on any other vendors.

You can see this by yourself:

Open selfie camera - close camera app - open camera app. You will see your face.

There is nothing you can do about it and you will lose many moments/shots

Not sure if you want to do what I have set up on my phone but if you press and hold the camera icon, it'll open up a menu of shortcuts (selfie, record video, portrait mode) that you can then drag onto your home screen as apps. Just a thought 😊1713496635597.jpg

It's so frustrating when you miss the *** and see your face as you miss it. Samsung clearly doesn't care like they used to. How hard is it to give us a setting to fix this terrible flaw

Hi I think I figured it out. Im using an S23 U but Im sure works the same across samsung models.

Go to widgets by long-pressing on your homescreen and scroll to camera. There will be 3 options of the same feature that you can add to your homescreen. It always opens the back camera.

It's fun to see that you can dedicate a folder where the photos from the widget will get saved too. It's for making vacations easier Im guessing :)
