Just upgraded from Note 10+ to S22 Ultra.

Before / old phone: When clicking on a browser link then the phone had no default and would always ask me which browser app to open the link in this time.

The new phone always just opens the link in the default browser.

How can I configure the new phone to always ask me which browser app to open the link in?

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

This has been driving me crazy for months. Ever since Samsung in all its wisdom decided to remove 'clear defaults' I'm the browser section of Settings. You kind person have made my day!

Thank you! Was driving me crazy. I just upgraded from a Note 8 to a Note 20 Ultra. Could not clear default browser to choose each time. So I did your suggestion - installed Opera browser, made that the default, and then deleted it. Now I have the option. Wow!

I noticed that every time I get a new Samsung it has less features that I like actually! I can't believe they took away the iris reader!

Come on Google or Samsung. No idea who to blame. But this really is very annoying. I have the same problem for opening youtube links. No select app popup anymore.

You can blame Samsung for this one.

But you can fix it.

Download any other Browser, set it as Default & then Uninstall it. You'll now have the choice to pick whatever Browser you want to use..

Android 12 forces you to choose a default browser unless you disable Chrome
This is a tip for people like me who open links with different browsers depending on what they click.

This behavior is now seemingly impossible on Android 12+ unless you disable Chrome.
