Half the time when I arrive home my phone won't connect to my WiFi. It says "incorrect password". It tries a few more times then eventually connects without my having to retype my password in.
So clearly my password is correct, but I have to go through this hassle every other time when I arrive home.

I have the Same issue as well as the wifi network speed connect at 292Mbps after a minute drops to 40Mbps and then it will say incorrect password,  I have 2 note 9's side by side. the other one is just fine, Did a FR, and still the same, only thing I can think of is at one time the Note 9 may have been to close to my WiFi Extender and it just killed the front end.

Hi ylee13, I suggest you please check if the device software is updated to the latest version. Please try turning off the wifi & turn on it again and check if you can connect to the network successfully.

Me too. It's not the router. It's been happening with my Note 9 for years and I've gone through several routers. The common denominator is the phone.

I have to manually click the network to basically "try again" and then it instantly connects. But I only happen to check it because my data plan alerts me to high cell tower use burning up my data plan and I'm always surprised because I'm supposed to be connected to my home wifi network 98% of the time.

My wifi routers are always in the same spot: 10 feet in front of me, clear line of sight.

So it's costing me money, performance and frustration.

Stop blaming the routers Samsung and fix the phone.

Had this happen to my brand new AU$2000 Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra last night. Started watching an episode of a show while on wifi in full screen. Part way through the episode I get a message from my provider for my data usage! Look at my Wi-Fi connection and it says it’s not corrected because of incorrect password. How stupid is that! Pushed connect and it connected fine without doing anything. So annoyed. I’ve had to turn off mobile data in case it happens again. Just one more stupid issue since buying this tablet and another reminder why I shouldn’t buy an android device.

I have the same issue. Galaxy S20. Half the time when I arrive home my phone won't connect to my WiFi. It says "incorrect password". I click it one time and it connects. I've reset the router and my network settings. Only happens with my phone. Everyone else is fine.

Same issue. Just got the s20 fe and it says "incorrect password" soon as I tap on WiFi and the network it connects but it should do this automatically. Any help? Reset modem didn't work. Reinstall network also didnt work.

I also have this issue. Started a few months ago when we added the Eero. It happens on Samsung phone but not iphone. I go to my connection and press on it and it connects fine but will not do on its own except for every once in awhile it will finally do on its own but will be incorrect password again. I have deleted and readded. I upgraded my phone and it still does it. From what I have read so far it seems to be occurring to Samsung devices.

I have exactly the same problem with my s21 FE. Tried every reset possible on phone and router, but I still have my phone randomly coming up with "incorrect password" until I open up wifi setting and just rejoin the network... Then it joins straight away... Until the next days "incorrect password".

No other device suffers this on our network, router and phone are both on latest software.

Samsung.....?

I have the same issue with my Galaxy S23+. Not one of my other ten devices in the same wifi network has a problem. I tried evey potential fix that is recommended all over the Internet concerning this specific problem. Nothing works. This a 1000 € phone. This issue exists since years. Fix it Samsung!
