In USA, they actually want you to get an S20. Here, our pathetic preorder deal is up to 237CAD in trade in value and just a pair of Galaxy Buds+.

In USA, you can trade in for 500USD any flagship since the S9 including from other brands. Plus up to 200$ of online store credit (which means any accessories you want, unlike the forced choice of not very good earbuds). Plus up to 1000USD off a second S20.

Again, here we only get 237$ of trade-in value and Galaxy Buds+ only. It's almost like they don't want Canadians to buy their new phones

New year, same story. It is always like this. We get such garbage here.

Last year was actually better. The trade-in value was less insulting

Yes, well, let's be honest. Is there really a compelling reason to upgrade anyway? As you said, Samsung is just shooting themselves in the foot. Phones more expensive than Apple without any of the Apple benefits, crappy trade in...they're going to have a lot of phones on sale pretty quick after launch. We just need to sit and wait 😉

Here's a "Killer deal" in Canada:

At Best Buy, if you buy an S20 (doesn't matter if it's the reg, plus, or ultra variant).

You get: Galaxy buds+, Wireless charger, & 128 GB Micro SD Card.

Normally those are $320 worth of products, here's the link: https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/samsung-galaxy-s20-5g-128gb-w-galaxy-buds-wireless-charger-micr...

That deal is so weak it's in dire need of CPR. It's not actually worth 320$. I'd give the lot a 150$ value tops. And they are only giving the low-end wireless charger? Ouch.

It's $200 for the earbuds, $100 for the wireless charger, & $20 for the sd card.

Usa received 66 % value for a exchange for the Note10+, United Kingdom 45 % and Canada only 22 % France, Note10+ 256 gb 0 % they don't accept exchange
What is the #&=$×&_"4: Samsung's politics?

Yep a lot of better options in US for OS updates too, and beta testing, and phone plans.

Generally yes - but I've got some friends in the US who absolutely hate their Carriers - And a lot more than I've seen any Canadian complain about their Carrier.
