Location permission

I have something somewhere that keeps activating my location every two minutes but I can't find it properly, it's a pest, i have to turn off my location to keep it from doing that, when i search it say it's the Google message app but i hadn't used it in a few hours, yet location is always showing up on the top of the screen & i can't find the app requesting it, what app will show me what app is asking for location each time?.

Have you tried going to your settings menu and selecting location and then selecting apps to see which are turning on all the time? It can override even if you have shut off location you can change it to allow just once or do not allow or allow while using the program. It could also be Emergency Services Maybe that has location on all the time?

Yes i have it says google messages but i last used it 18 hours ago.

I am trying to figure out what's always tracking, the apps are set that location is activated only when using the app's. Yet location shows up all the time every two minutes, i turned off location but then i have to turn it back on to use certain app's

But do you have it set for on all the time?

I set it for just when i use the app's. It's as if something is trying to find me, don't know what or why, settings dosent give proper information it makes no sense what so ever

That is weird the only thing I can think of is in the drop-down menu if you accidentally hit location on the home screen. Hopefully somebody with more knowledge on this can help you fix the issue. Good luck!

Go to Settings > Location & you should see the apps that have requested Location.

Did that, problem is the app shown was used 18 hours before hand. After 18 hour's & the app's setting on it says to use location when using the app only, that's really odd.
If you used message app 18 hours ago why would it need your location now when you aren't using it. That's what has me puzzled

Could be the weather app. If you go into settings ,then location, and hit app permissions.
Should show you which apps are always allowed to use location and give you times it was last used.
