I always get "moisture detected in USB charging port" as soon as I try to plug my phone. this makes charging port unusable.

The recent updates OREO and after did not fix the major software issue of moisture in USB port.

I am not even able to avoid it anymore by clearing cache and DATA from USBsettings in system apps. This was the only way around it.

This is a 24h/7 present issue since day 1 with my phone, 3 months ago. Not a single day goes by without it.

I bought a wireless charging pad, this is a way around but it's big and not really great to carry around.

Anyone has another way to fix this ? I called customer service and tech support to inform them of that major software issue, they said they never heard of it. (what was I expecting? Samsung are excellent at hiding major problems with their products..) Please tell me someone here is a technology master genius champion and can fix the issue ! 🤞🤞

A suggestion that may work is to make sure the charger is unplugged from the phone, turn the phone off, ever so carefully using a q-tip DO NOT FORCE the q-tip into the charging port, rub the charging port, wait about 10 to 15 seconds, then retry plugging the charger into the phone, turn the phone on and the moisture error should disappear.

This doesn't work. It's the first answer that pops in Google search. As I said I tried every solution I could find online, nothing works. We are 8 in total, 7 friends of mine as well as myself, experiencing this issue. We live in Quebec so the temperature can be -25 one day and +25 the day after, the S8+ is unable to deal with that.

could be false positive.
blast canned air into port and try again.
or dump phone into a bag of rice over night

This is not ANY software issue on part of Samsung, since you're only one facing this and no one else. Better solution would be taking the phone to a servicing center so they can clean the moisture and hard reset to fix it.

there are hundreds of feeds online from samsung s8 users having the same issue. This IS a software issue. I have 7 friends with an S8+ and we ALL have this issue.

servicing centers won't help they just take the phone for 3 months without providing us with replacement. My phone is essential for my job, I can't let them take it away for 3 months.

This was an issue for quite a few S7 users and after a Google search I found some solutions:
1) reset your phone.
2) use a hair dryer and aim your charging port upwards so the water can evaporate. Blow hot air around and into the charging port, but don't heat up the device too much.

Been doing that every day for the past 3 months. Doesn't work. There is no moisture in the port.
