I always get "moisture detected in USB charging port" as soon as I try to plug my phone. this makes charging port unusable.

The recent updates OREO and after did not fix the major software issue of moisture in USB port.

I am not even able to avoid it anymore by clearing cache and DATA from USBsettings in system apps. This was the only way around it.

This is a 24h/7 present issue since day 1 with my phone, 3 months ago. Not a single day goes by without it.

I bought a wireless charging pad, this is a way around but it's big and not really great to carry around.

Anyone has another way to fix this ? I called customer service and tech support to inform them of that major software issue, they said they never heard of it. (what was I expecting? Samsung are excellent at hiding major problems with their products..) Please tell me someone here is a technology master genius champion and can fix the issue ! 🤞🤞

I have a S8+ and live in Québec and I have never had any issue other than battery drain after upgrading to Oreo, that has been corrected in another update. Re the moisture issue, I would demand a replacement phone from either the seller or Samsung

Defects happens. Just head to your carrier and ask for a replacement, since you are still on warranty, and especially since this happens since day one. You can additionally invoke the Legal Warranty of QC (Durée raisonnable d'utilisation, 3 moins étant bien en dessous de ce que l'on est en droit d'attendre face à un téléphone à plus de 1000$)

Hey @woliwer! Please contact your local Samsung Service Center (http://www.samsung.com/ca/support/servicelocation/) so that they can take a closer look at your device. Thanks! -Jenna from Samsung

yeah and send my phone away for over a month without offering me any replacement, because who cares if I pay 120$ a month for a phone I can't use eh

same issue, have the phone turn off, plug my phone into a third party charger, turn it back on. it will work. but I sent my phone to samsung for repair because it is a USB defect, they replaced mine under the 1 yr warranty.

Thanks for your answer ! How long did that take, and did they offer you a temporary replacement phone while they had it in reparation ?
