My Files access to network drive

I am trying to access my external hard disk that is attached to my airport extreme (that is connected to my router) using the myfiles app. It comes up with the correct address and is using port 445 but cannot seem to connect. I have been able to do this with the 3rd party app RS File Manager using the same username and password. Has anyone had this issue? Any solutions?

the error that I get is "Can't connect. make sure address and other info is correct and try again" . I have managed to do this with the RS File Manager app.

Is your external hard drive is attached by USB in your airport extreme?

Ok, I have no Airport Extreme. I might not able to give you too much suggestions.

In your Airport Extreme, did you set share type? Have you set share type to SMB? Try using guest account with no password.

Thanks for the suggestions but no luck. Very annoying that it works first shot with RS FILE MANAGER but can't the the Samsung app to do it.

its the same error with me, I just shared my drive on local network it finds my computer but couldnt connect. but when I used Solid explorer It got connected in first try... which made sure that there is no issue with sharing settings.. used the same credentials to connect using Samsung file manager again and failed.
